the logo of são paulo’s most important library, holder of the second largest documentary and bibliographic collection in the country, is a typographic arrangement that makes reference to the universe of books (the printed page, the ex-libris, the volumes on the shelf, etc.) and the art deco architecture of its building. a project in partnership with dorinho bastos.
in addition to the logo and the visual identity system, we did the signage for the library building and its periodicals library. for two years, we created all the printed communication materials until we appointed an in-house designer to take care, with autonomy but within the rules of the system, of the everyday demands of public communication.
