curated by veronica stigger and eduardo sterzi, the exhibition showed for the first time the photographic work of anthropologist eduardo viveiros de castro. the nearly four hundred photographic records bring together two phases of his career: the period of collaboration with artists linked to the counterculture, such as filmmaker ivan cardoso, visual artist helio oiticica and poet waly salomão; and the period marked by work as an ethnologist, developed with the araweté, kulina, yanomami and yawalapiti tribes. in bringing these two universes together, the curators emphasized the issue of corporeality, which is also at the origin of the author’s anthropological reflection.
when dealing with the texts’ imagery, the visual identity highlights the unprecedented framework of the exhibition.
